Well-Played
MA Final Major Project, Falmouth University
Well-Played is an innovative mobile app designed to foster playfulness among millennial adults, addressing the vital connection between play and mental well-being.
In response to the growing mental health challenges faced by this demographic, my goal was to create an engaging platform that integrates playful experiences into daily life, enhancing both individual well-being and social connections.
I conducted extensive research involving user surveys, interviews, and literature reviews on the benefits of play for adults. By developing user personas based on this research, I was able to inform the design and functionality of the app, ensuring it met the needs of the target audience.
Using Figma, I developed a fully interactive prototype that showcases the app’s functionalities. The user flow is designed to encourage users to engage with all aspects of the app, promoting a holistic approach to play and well-being.
FEATURES
Well-Played includes a collection of flashcards that offer creative and accessible ideas for incorporating play into everyday routines.
The app features a fun and engaging quiz that helps users identify their unique play personality. This personalised approach encourages self-discovery and guides users toward activities that resonate with their individual preferences.
A play diary is available, allowing users to journal their playful experiences and reflections. This encourages mindfulness and helps users track how play contributes to their overall well-being, fostering a deeper connection to the benefits of play.
